230 knowledge-based firms set up by Iranian experts who returned home after studies abroad

Iran has been pursuing the agenda of “cooperation with Iranian experts and entrepreneurs abroad” to enable the country to benefit the capabilities and expertise of efficient Iranian workforce abroad.

The Connect program, launched by the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy, has been serving to establish links between the Iranian experts residing abroad and their homeland.

During these years, the program has managed to bring back about 2,600 Iranian elites and entrepreneurs to the country, of whom 450 have been employed in the country’s top universities.

Another achievement of this program is the creation of 230 knowledge-based and technological companies by these elites in Iran.
