A key objective pursued by Iran’s House of Innovation and Technology in Kenya (iHiT Kenya) is to pave the way for attracting international active and innovative Kenyan startups.

IHiT has succeeded in attracting 35 Kenyan startup teams through expanding its network of communication with Kenyan innovation centers, universities, international education centers, and the African country’s chamber of commerce and affiliated institutions in the field of innovation and technology.

20 of the startup teams are Kenyans and the other 15 teams are from Germany, China, South Korea, Canada, South Africa and Finland.

The startups in iHiT Kenya work in various fields including:

-AI

-Robotics

-3D printers

-Programming and IT services

-Marketing digital services

-Film-making and animation

-Block chain

The iHiT center introduces active Iranian startups in weekly meetings there for the purpose of creating business interaction between Iran and Kenya.

This has resulted in cooperation between two Kenyan startups with their Iranian peers in programming and 3D printers. IHiT Kenya has now turned into a place for the gathering of entrepreneurs and investors, thanks to the proper infrastructure it has created for startups.

Thus, innovative startups are succeeding in attracting capital at the monthly events of iHiT Kenya.
