Diplomat: Venezuela valuable, intact market for Iranian knowledge-based firms

Tehran’s ambassador to Caracas says Venezuela is a valuable and intact market for the products of Iranian knowledge-based companies.

In a meeting with representatives of knowledge-based firms, which are in Venezuela to join a technological exhibition, Hojjatollah Soltani presented the opportunities for investment in the Latin American country.

Caracas is hosting the Iran-Venezuela Scientific, Technological and Industrial Expo, where Iranian knowledge-based firms show off their achievements.

The diplomat said the capacities for exports to Venezuela included various fields such as water, energy, communications, mining, and agriculture.

Relying on their own capacities and capabilities, Iranian knowledge-based firms can enjoy a good market in Venezuela, Soltani said.

In turn, Mahdi Ghal’e-Noei, the head of the Center for International Science and Technology Cooperation at Iran’s Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, who was present in the session, said the delegation of knowledge-based firms in Venezuela was the largest of its kind ever sent to a country with the goal of developing exports.
