Iran-SCO technological exchanges expected to witness boost
A senior official with the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy has stressed the need for stepped-up cooperation between Tehran and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Amir-Hossein Mirabadi, who heads the Vice-Presidency’s Center for International Science and Technology Interactions, held a meeting with SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming for talks on bilateral ties.
During the session, Mirabadi highlighted Iran’s great capacities for cooperation with the organization’s member states.
He expressed the Vice-Presidency’s readiness to use those capacities to open a new chapter in relations with the SCO.
“This ability exists in Iran, but it is necessary to define specific mechanisms to facilitate and accelerate this technological cooperation,” the official added.
