Upgraded Iran’s scientific body to focus more on science-based products

With the approval of Iran’s High Council of the Cultural Revolution, the Center for International Scientific and Technological Interactions has been upgraded to the Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation.

The center is affiliated to the office of the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy. 

The media office of the center said the approval of the relevant single article, which was ratified at the tenth session of the High Council of Cultural Revolution in February 2024 was sent to the relevant authorities by the secretary of the council after approval by the president and the head of the high Council of Cultural Revolution. 

The Center for International Scientific and Technological Interactions which is to work as the Organization for Development of Technological Cooperation from now on aims to pave the way for boosting scientific, technological and innovation communications with other countries and achieving a clear and significant position in the regional and global trade of knowledge-based products. 

The organization will have a range of tasks including macro-coordination of technological activities, export of knowledge-based goods and services, supply and demand of technology (technology transfer), etc.
