Iranian knowledge-based companies unveil 11 new products

Seven Iranian companies have showcased eleven new knowledge-based products and achievements at the 14th International Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition held in the Iranian capital Tehran, according to the media center of the Iranian Vice Presidential office for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy.

In the medical and pharmaceutical fields, a company introduced a nano-encapsulated bromelain enzyme, whose development is rooted in the traditional pharmaceutical practices in Latin America. The enzyme has received a license from Germany for treatment of inflammation after surgery, especially the sinus surgery.

Non-encapsulated royal jelly was another product in the event. It contains sugars such as fructose and glucose, similar to what is found in honey, and has antibiotic properties that inhibit gram-positive bacteria.

Also shining in the event was some magnesium syrup that can prevent osteoporosis, strengthen bones, muscles and teeth among children and teenagers by increasing absorption of salts and vitamins through sucroliposomal nanoparticles and reducing side effects and removing interference with the absorption of other substances in the body.

A gas process compressor has been produced for the first time in Iran with a high-speed gearbox, monitoring and control system, and special nano anti-corrosion and anti-wear coatings.

Manufacturing and coating of hot rollers for steel industries, catalysts, and construction and design of the purification systems were among other achievements unveiled in the event.
