Iranian authority condemns coercive measures against country’s scientific development

A senior Iranian official has condemned unilateral coercive measures against Iranian knowledge-based companies and scientific progress.

Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Rouhollah Dehqani added knowledge-based companies play a pivotal role in protecting human rights and countries’ development, expressing Iran’s readiness for all-encompassing scientific-technological cooperation to achieve a better world.

“While we have gathered in this place, innocent Palestinian people are subjected to tyranny and oppression. The deplorable situation of these individuals, not only as a Muslim, but as someone who believes in the inherent value of human life, makes me deeply sad,” he said, in other remarks, in an address to a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council held at the council’s headquarters in Geneva.

“In pursuit of a just and coordinated world, I sincerely invited every one of you to get united and strive to establish a society in which people with different backgrounds can have peaceful coexistence,” he noted.

“Let’s work collectively to make sure that the blessings bestowed on us by God will be evenly accessible to all,” the official said.

“With understanding, rapport and sympathetic moves, we can lay the foundation for a future that would respect the dignity and rights of any individual, regardless of their nationality, ethnicity or religions,” he added.
