President Raisi explores cutting-edge innovations at iHiT in Tehran

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi toured the House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT) in Tehran, a hub showcasing the nation’s strides in knowledge-based industries.

Supervised by the Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-based Economy, the central branch of iHiT serves as the nexus for similar centers in export-focused countries like Kenya, Syria, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Iraq.

The sprawling 3500-square-meter exhibition space features over 689 companies displaying more than two thousand innovative products spanning diverse sectors.

Meanwhile iHiT’s mission encompasses upgrading hardware infrastructure, facilitating commercialization, and promoting the export of knowledge-based technologies.

Notably, Iran currently ranks prominently in global science production, nanotechnology, cognitive science, technology, artificial intelligence, and stem cell research.

The remarkable growth of knowledge-based companies in Iran is underscored by the staggering number of active firms and job creation.

This year alone, the export value of knowledge-based companies reached an impressive $1.89 billion, signifying a substantial increase from previous years and reinforcing Iran’s commitment to advancing technological frontiers.
