Iranian knowledge-based company makes zinc-rich supplements

Experts at an Iranian knowledge-based company have succeeded in producing zinc nano supplements (zinc metal) which have twice better absorption than zinc supplements available in the market as they use a liposomal formulation.

That’s according to the information office of the Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy. Arsalan Pasharpour, CEO of Kimia Kalaye Razi Company, spoke about the necessity of using such zinc supplements, saying Iran’s soil is not very rich in zinc, and this also is the case with agricultural soil. Therefore, Pasharpour added, the agricultural products produced in Iran have a low amount of zinc.

He noted that released data shows about 40% of Iranians have zinc deficiency, hence, consuming zinc supplements is the necessary for them.

According to the CEO of Kimia Kalaye Razi Company, the consumption of supplements also sometimes does not provide the amount of zinc needed by the body, which is why the absorption of zinc is low.

Thus, we developed the liposomal formulation to increase the absorption rate, Pasharpour added.

He also said the company’s efforts resulted in the production of a syrup called Lipizinc, 200,000 bottles of which are produced every year.

Zinc is one of the key minerals needed by the body that plays a highly important role in protecting the physical health of every human being.
