The health sector sees boost with participation of 1,690 knowledge-based companies

The growth of Iranian knowledge-based and creative firms — which was made possible thanks to reliance on the expertise of the domestic workforce in developing Iranian-made products — has made the health sector thriving.

The employment of 1,000 people in knowledge-based firms in the health sector
As many as 1,693 knowledge-based companies are active in the health sector. With a general view in terms of turning research into technology in the field of health, an estimation of the articles for the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) published by universities and research centers indicate around 75,000 articles have so far been written, including 22,000 research projects and memoirs, and 553 technological projects.
The total number of those employed in knowledge-based firms active in the health sector stands at 28,000, while 343 technological products and 335 health-related inventions have been recorded.
Currently, the highest quantities of products by knowledge-based companies in the health sector and on a specialized field basis are those of medicine and advanced products related to diagnosis and treatment.
