Iranian company develops pay app for crypto currencies

An Iranian knowledge-based company has developed an application that enables payments for goods and services in crypto currencies.

Nasser Mahmoudi, a member of the management board of JapCo, said the firm had designed two mobile apps, one for mobile users and the other for retailers using point of sale (POS) devices.

Users will be able to have costs withdrawn from their bank accounts merely by hitting touch buttons on their mobile phones based on a technology known as near-field communication (NFC).

The NFC technology enables a POS device and a mobile phone to connect wirelessly in close proximity of each other. In order to do that, however, both devices have to be equipped with an NFC chip.

Mahmoudi said the app has been designed exclusively to be compatible with POS devices and mobile phones with an Android operating system and built-in NFC technology compatibility.

A team of six experts, comprising user experience and user interface designers, hardware experts, and developers, cooperated in developing the app.
