Iran hosts meeting of expatriate nano-experts

A meeting of nanotechnology experts has been held in Tehran, bringing together Iranian expatriate entrepreneurs and experts specializing in the Connect program.

The gathering was held in the Nanotechnology Development Committee of the Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Department of the Presidential Office.

The participants joined the gathering either in person or online.

Up and running since 2015, the Connect program was developed in order to share knowhow, experience and technological ideas with Iran and to establish an effective relationship between Iranian experts residing abroad and their peers as well as scientific and technological centers inside the country.

Under the program, Iranian expatriate experts, academics, entrepreneurs and scientists can cooperate with select domestic centers as host bases within the framework of research and post-doctorate courses and sabbaticals, as visiting and adjunct professors, under programs to deliver speeches and hold expert workshops, and to conduct technological activities within the framework of founding startups.
