Over 1,500 Iranian knowledge-based companies empowered for exports

Over 1,500 knowledge-based firms in Iran have gained footholds in international markets after going through a tenuous path of empowerment project in the country, Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy says.

Addressing a gathering on the anniversary of assassination of Iran’s nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Rouhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi said over 12,000 knowledge-based companies have been registered with the vice president’s office, adding plans are underway to shore up more companies with insurance and loans to export their products.

Dehghani Firouzabadi explained ecosystem, technology, and innovation are the top priorities for activities in the field.

Stressing on the people-oriented nature of knowledge-based activities, the vice president said his office is constantly in touch with the general public and firms to help them fund their innovative ideas.
