Iran launches platform for cooperation with expatriate Iranian researchers, experts

Iran has launched a platform to forge cooperation with top Iranian experts and researchers abroad.

A system has been established for the recruitment of, and partnership with eminent Iranian researchers and experts overseas with the intellectual contribution of 10 outstanding Iranian researchers and experts abroad under the CONNECT platform.

The platform seeks, in the first place, to increase travel by Iranian experts and scientists as well as partnership with researchers and academics abroad with the focus being on graduates of 200 top universities across the world and giving them a true picture of Iran in the science and technology domain, said Ali Hosseini, the deputy head of the Department for Development of Scientific Relations and Human Assets of the Center for International Scientific and Technological Interactions.

“Expert working groups of CONNECT in various scientific fields have been established … and a 12-thousand-strong network of Iranian experts and entrepreneurs interested in cooperating with the country has been formed …,” he explained.
