500 Iranian high-tech companies attending ELECOMP International Exhibition

Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy says the establishment of technological development centers for artificial intelligence in the coming months is part of the country’s program to develop this technology.

Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi noted that the centers are equipped with proper installations for researchers to develop technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Dehghani was speaking to reporters during a visit to the ELECOMP Exhibition in Tehran.
While noting that this year’s event is busier than previous ones, he attributed it to the participation of knowledge-based and technological companies. Dehghani said 500 companies are taking part in the exhibition and stressed that in this event, foreign companies are present thanks to B2B communications between Iranian firms and their foreign peers.
The Iranian vice president also spoke about Iran’s progress in the development of artificial intelligence, saying the Islamic Republic believes that many researchers are active in the field in the country.
He underlined that Iran seeks to establish technological development centers for artificial intelligence, adding that the centers will be equipped with proper facilities for researchers.
Also regarding cooperation with China, Dehghani Firouzabadi said China is a friend and partner of Iran and that the two countries have concluded a strong cooperation agreement.
He also added several Chinese companies also took part in the ELECAOP exhibition.
He also described cooperation with the Arab companies as significant while referring to the recent development of relations between Iran and the Arab states.
