12 new achievements of Iranian knowledge-based companies unveiled

Iranian knowledge-based companies, affiliated with the Pardis Technology Park, unveiled 12 new achievements in various fields in a ceremony with the country’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Ruhollah Dehghani in attendance. 

These products are designed and produced by domestic experts in various fields of biotechnology, medicine, electronics, microelectronics and mechatronics, with the aim of solving industrial needs and cushioning the effects of US-led sanctions on Iran. 

The Iranian version of ibrutinib, the medicine used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia, was among the unveiled products that come at a lower price with higher effectiveness compared to foreign products. 

Another medical product introduced in the event was the technology for making liposomal nanoparticles in pharmaceutical products and nutritional supplements, with higher effectiveness and much fewer side effects than other types of supplements.

A welding filler for austenitic steels used in the oil and gas industries was another product that turned heads in the ceremony which is expected to cut the need for the imports and save a million dollars annually.

Another company showcased micropipettes required for treatment of infertility through intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) which caters to the needs of couples who are going through the treatment process. 

Furthermore, a pharmaceutical company introduced an herbal medicine for curing cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) which strengthens the cellular immune system, boosts the healing power of the wound and has direct anti-parasitic effect.
