Iran releases report on state of science, technology, innovation

Iran has published a report to overview the state of science, technology and innovation in the country in 2024. 

The Center for International Science and Technology Cooperation (CISTC) affiliated with the Iranian Vice-President’s Office for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy issued the report in collaboration with the Presidential Center for Progress and Development (CPDI).  

The report was compiled and published to shine a light on the implementation of comprehensive documents regarding Iran’s international scientific relations. 

The report indicates some indices in the country’s science, technology and innovation ecosystem, including the ranking of some of the country’s universities in different ranking systems, the country’s global position in producing scientific papers, and the global ranking in some scientific fields. 

It also provides some statistical figures, including the number of knowledge-based companies, science and technology parks, and innovation centers. 

Meanwhile, the report reviews the policies regarding science, technology and innovation in the country and the upstream documents in the field.
